First Anniversary: Time to enjoy the top of your wedding cake!
The wedding is finally over. The guests have all gone home and the gifts have all been opened. After the reception there is just one wedding tradition to fulfill before the honeymoon: properly freeze the top layer of your wedding cake. Tradition dictates that this tasty tidbit be kept frozen for exactly one year, until your first anniversary, at which point you and your not-so-newlywed spouse can enjoy it while wondering where the time went.
Ingredients:

© Plastic wrap
© Cake box
© Freezer
© Refrigerator
Directions:
After the reception, immediately place the top layer of the wedding cake into the freezer for two to three hours to allow the icing to freeze properly. Remove the cake and wrap it loosely in several layers of plastic wrap. Place the wrapped layer into a cake box, and wrap the cake box with several layers of plastic wrap.
Two days before your anniversary, remove the cake box from the freezer and place its contents in the refrigerator for three to four hours. This will help the cake thaw slowly.
Remove the cake from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for an additional two to three hours. Enjoy the cake with your spouse with glasses of champagne as you look at pictures from your wedding, reception, and honeymoon.
