Daddy Rich forwards this recipe for a special chocolate cake from his mother’s file. Grandma Ruth was well known for her special chocolate cake. Rich shares a childhood memory: “When I was thirteen years old, I had a pet boxer named Trouble. That turned out to be an appropriate name...
When my mother left a No Fail Chocolate Cake on the kitchen counter one afternoon, Trouble managed to make a gustatory inroad into it, leaving no evidence of her involvement behind. The blame for the missing cake chunk landed on me.”
Sadly, Trouble went to her final rest without clearing Rich’s reputation.
