Aunt Sarah --- Apple Cranberry Crunch

Aunt Sarah and famous for her mouth-watering Apple Cranberry Crunch. Thanksgiving guests at the home of Uncle Bob and Aunt Sarah have been known to enjoy the Crunch with the gobbler and then to enjoy it again as dessert with a bit of vanilla ice cream. This holiday must-have dish is always presented in Sarah’s special casserole that, she says, is essential to the taste of the dish itself!
Ingredients:
Filling
© 3 cups peeled, chopped Red Delicious, Macintosh, Red Rome or other good baking apple
© 1 can whole berry cranberry sauce
© ½ c sugar (or less, to taste)
Topping
© 1½ cups old-fashioned oats
© 3/4 cup chopped pecans
© 1/2 cup butter, melted
© 1/2 cup light brown sugar
© 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
Directions:
Mix all the filling ingredients and put in a greased baking dish (approx. 2 ½ quart round dish or 8 x 13 rectangular).
Mix all topping ingredients and put on top of filling right before baking. (Filling can be refrigerated several hours ahead of time, if necessary.)
Bake for 30-45 minutes at 350° or until bubbling.
